After removing many layers of rotten flooring.
Layers of wallpaper.
Repairing and leveling.
Repairing the plaster.
Putting in a new floor.
Although it is not my “dream kitchen” it is definitely better than before! The sink is the only thing we kept. The stove we bought will be replaced someday for the one we really want. A 30 inch white and stainless Viking. Sigh.
As far as cabinets go, I’m am still undecided about what I want. So in the mean time everything is free standing, and can be easily moved. We built shelves in the armoire which holds a lot.
At least there no longer is a tree root growing up through the floor!
Good job on the kitchen. This is how kitchens were long ago, a room filled with free standing furniture. If you really removed a tree from the floor you deserve a pat on the back.
