A warm afternoon on the sunporch.

Pears from the Kingston farmers market.

Gourds and baby pumpkins from Brooklyn. Happy fall (almost)!

I’m heading upstate with two cats and a husband. Hope the house hasn’t floated away from all the rain we had lately.

I stopped by CB2 yesterday and picked up this cute little shelf for the kitchen.

Sorry for the dark dreary photos. It was very dark and dreary this morning.
It’s been 10 days of house guests, earthquakes, and hurricanes. Flights were canceled. We got stuck upstate due to flooding. It was quite an adventure! Being a tour guide for 10 days (while working) was very tiring. I need a vacation!

I love playing tourist, after all it is one of the greatest city’s in the world!

Besides all the weather drama, I think everybody had a good time (myself included).

Eight years ago we took the entire month of August off and drove across the country to get hitched! I had never driven across the country before, and had never been out west. This was taken on Lake Michigan.

This was taken in the Badlands of South Dakota. It was like being on the moon! Our actual wedding anniversary is on Saturday.

We were married in a small ceremony on the Gallatin River near Bozeman Montana. It was perfect!

The other day when I got off the subway I noticed this.

Built right into the curb! What a clever use of public space! Any one can sit and use the tables.

I love when I see things like this. It makes me feel like I live in a truly modern city.

Went to a “white” party on Saturday night in Phoenicia. It was outdoors at a little cabin in the woods. All of the guest wore white.

This outdoor light fixture is made of coat hangers! Beautiful!

It was a lovely summer evening.
