Yesterday.

Yesterday was my birthday. It was a beautiful sparkly day. I had dinner with friends and cupcakes afterward.

It was the first time that I have baked in six months. I enjoyed it, and they were delicious.

Stuff…

I am having some friends over tomorrow evening for my birthday. This came just in time, now there will be a place to hang coats.

Small Improvements.

We’ve been making some small improvements to our little Brooklyn apartment. This is one side of where there was once a fireplace. It has always bugged me. We decided to build some book shelves to fill the space.

The other side is much wider. This is where my desk is. Forgive the mess of wires underneath.

Now I need to find some things to fill them!

I Love Orange!

Yes it’s true. Orange is my favorite color. Since it is almost October (pumpkin season), I decided to pay tribute.

Rug from West Elm.

Sometimes you only need a touch of orange…

Look what came in the mail yesterday from my lovely niece!

Happy Friday!

I’m heading upstate with two cats and a husband. Hope the house hasn’t floated away from all the rain we had lately.

Kitchen Shelf…

I stopped by CB2 yesterday and picked up this cute little shelf for the kitchen.

Sorry for the dark dreary photos. It was very dark and dreary this morning.

What A Week!

It’s been 10 days of house guests, earthquakes, and hurricanes. Flights were canceled. We got stuck upstate due to flooding. It was quite an adventure! Being a tour guide for 10 days (while working) was very tiring. I need a vacation!

I love playing tourist, after all it is one of the greatest city’s in the world!

Besides all the weather drama, I think everybody had a good time (myself included).
