Uptown Kingston.

Uptown Kingston New York, also known as the Stockade Historic District, is about one and a half hours north of NYC. It is nestled in the lovely Hudson river valley.

It’s home to the Kingston NY farmers market, every Saturday, May through November from 9am to 2pm.

Kingston was settled in the 17th century by the Dutch. Even though Kingston was burned by the British in 1777, plenty of examples of 18th Century Dutch architecture remain today.

It’s a great place to spend a Saturday afternoon exploring.
